WELCOME to SPARTAN’s annual Scientific and Research Meeting! Through this virtual event portal you can watch the sessions both live and recorded for later viewing and participate in the critical conversations taking place in our field.
SPARTAN is a network of health care professionals in North America who are dedicated to research, awareness and treatment of spondyloarthritis. Since our first meeting in Salt Lake City in 2003, SPARTAN has grown to include diverse thought-leaders contributing to the field of spondyloarthritis, including rheumatologists, radiologists, basic scientists and geneticists, methodologists, epidemiologists, and patient research representatives in North America.
We have condensed our program for webinar presentation while retaining the popular Trainee Symposium (on Thursday). Charles Dillon’s keynote address “Adventures in Epidemiology: NHANES and Other Lessons Learned about Spondyloarthritis”, SpA Year in Review, and “What we are Learning from the CLASSIC Study” are highlights of Friday presentations.
We’re excited to learn more about the research of young investigators and trainees Friday afternoon from our inaugural class of fellowship grant awardees and both oral and poster abstract sessions. The poster abstract sessions will be interactive, concurrent breakout sessions providing an opportunity to engage with the presenters in smaller groups.
We hope to resume our live annual meeting next year, May 20 – 22, 2021 in Madison, WI. In the meantime, we look forward to continuing to serve the spondyloarthritis community through our mission of advancing research and education.
We thank you for joining us and attending the SPARTAN annual meeting.
